Hanjin Shipping to construct dedicated terminal in Vietnam

Hanjin Shipping has signed an agreement to set up a joint venture with Saigon New Port for constructing a dedicated terminal in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Vietnam.
Hanjin Shipping has said that its Tan Cang-Cai Mep International Container Terminal, scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2011, will be located in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

With two berths, the new terminal is expected to handle approximately 1.15 million TEU on an annual basis.

Hanjin Shipping has said that it anticipates the opening of additional terminals in Busan New Port in South Korea during the first half of 2009, Algeciras, Spain in 2010 and Jacksonville, Florida in 2011.
